The impasse on health care: Real disagreement or partly just confusion?

In an article titled “Waving Objections”, Ramesh Ponnuru, senior editor of National Review, discusses how some of the obstacles to agreement on reform are due partly to confusion rather than disagreement. On particular issues, such as pre-existing conditions, terminology can be read in different ways.

“One reason House Republicans should slow down the process of writing a bill is to make sure that their members have an understanding of these issues that is accurate and shared,” Ponnuru states.
